<swiftgeek>
lurchi_: then if it can exist in form of edid it should also be able to exist in form of dt xD
<swiftgeek>
that's IMHO
<swiftgeek>
any idea whether vibra (motor) is something i can connect somewhere in linux?

or exposing as gpio is the only way?
<lurchi_>
swiftgeek: whats wrong with an gpio?
<swiftgeek>
nothing wrong, i can just imagine something more complex than on/off
<lurchi_>
hm, hid/force-feedback?
<swiftgeek>
though i will still need to find and solder down those components ^^
<swiftgeek>
lurchi_: not sure if it points to anything in source, but yeah i would love to use it together with virtual keyboard or even something more generic
<lurchi_>
swiftgeek: you can do hid over usb (original variant), but also over i2c
<swiftgeek>
that's very interesting :D

<lurchi_>
my laptop touchscreen and touchpad both use i2c
<lurchi_>
swiftgeek: you just toggle gpios, no special hardware necessary
<swiftgeek>
A33 reference design is way better in that regard, it has dedicated power supply pin from axp223

<swiftgeek>
they have populated everything for me with exception of diode xD
<swiftgeek>
i will look for some teeny tiny schottky diode then and install the motor xD
<lurchi_>
I have a PTouch Labelprinter which is battery powered - or wall-wart powered, if you drill a hole ;-)

Hi
<yann-kaelig>
There is somethign I'm actually not sure. If I want to run wayland on my cubieboard2 with Mali400MP GPU, Ithis is only possible with the kernel 3.4.x or also with the mainline kernel ?
<MoeIcenowy>
with fbdev weston backend you can run on mainline kernel.
<MoeIcenowy>
but with no GPU acceleration support
IgorPec has joined #linux-sunxi
<yann-kaelig>
ok, I could only know if I need acceleration after some tests with the software.

lurchi_, are yo using the BSP kernel or mainline? montjoie has stopped work on the driver for mainline and is instead working on adapting the existing mainline driver to work on Alwinner chips. You might look to his repo.
