mithro: is that overflow?
<mithro>
sb00: Yes
<sb00>
maybe it relies on integer overflows for something?
<mithro>
sb00: Yeah it looks like it, but I've yet to figure out exactly what yet...
<sb00>
number formatting would be a prime suspect
<sb00>
mithro: i'm not really sure what you're asking about in your email
<mithro>
sb00: So, on an Zynq you have an ARM processor connected to a the FPGA via a bus
<sb00>
basically if something is well written, if you keep maintaining it, and you provide patches to anything that relies on any APIs that you modify, there is no reason not to merge
<mithro>
sb00: Sure, but there is more than one way to skin a cat and we'd like to skin it in your preferred way
<sb00>
what is your specific concern?
<mithro>
We do it a stupid way because we have NFI what we are doing :-P
<mithro>
sb00: Does the idea of supporting the Zynq bus interface in a similar way to how wishbone support works make sense?
<sb00>
idk how exactly the zynq interfaces with the fabric, but i'd guess yes
<sb00>
rjo wrote some code to support zynq. you may want to look at it
<sb00>
also what is this 'nasti' thing about? i thought plain axi was reasonably usable
<mithro>
NASTI is basic the same as AXI but doesn't use the trademarked name which apparently gets you sued

<whitequark>
sb00: ok, I will leave ASAP
<whitequark>
someone here fucked up so I think that'll be monday or tuesday (monday tickets are usually sold out and/or crazy expensive)
<sb0>
whitequark, please also assemble the shelves and put your stuff in them
<whitequark>
ok
<sb0>
technosystems sent us no accessories (mounting hardware, power supplies, cables, connectors, etc.) so there are plenty of yaks to shave
sb0 has quit [Quit: Leaving]
<whitequark>
ok
<whitequark>
if you compose a list i can start ordering it via tao-how even before I arrive
<whitequark>
forward me a datasheet or w/e

<sb00>
the main issue is the lack of power supplies for sayma (3 of them)
<sb00>
i have figured out ghetto solutions for the other problems
<sb00>
it's atx 12V connector i think, this should be documented somewhere
<sb00>
also, zotino board also needs a power supply
<sb00>
it's provided by the vhdci eem carrier. idk the voltage.
<sb00>
it's circular barrel connector
<sb00>
ah and get m2.5 and m3 hex standoffs of the same height, nylon (stupidly there are traces very next to some holes), and required screws/nuts
<sb00>
right now it's mounted with metallic and nylon of slightly different heights and looks ghetto
<sb00>
could be m2 not 2.5. just order both.
<sb00>
those should be about 1cm
<sb00>
also get long ones for eem stackup, m2.5
<sb00>
if you're getting taobao psus, please review/test them before connecting them to the board. they are expensive and hard to replace.
<whitequark>
ok

<sb0>
whitequark, and you can order delivery to the lab. there is someone to receive.
<sb0>
but make sure the company name appears on the package and not just yours, to avoid the kind of problems we had last time...
<whitequark>
ok
<rjo>
all 12v
<rjo>
the sayma connector is ATX. you can cut a 6-pin down to 4 pin to make it fit. (e.g. the kc705 supply and its adapter if necessary)
