(J9/J10) wpwrak, two MIDI con if see gerber files and schematic's pin numbers, the order should be like i edited it in KiCad. the datasheet is drawn indistinctly.
<cladamw>
the order is 3-5-2-4-1 for real current m1 rc3 layout, if using a 5-4-3-2-1 numbering on footprint, which will not correct. this is yes, of course confused you fully i think. we from rc1 started the same AD footprint, so I would say it's not clear in http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/65433.pdf

<lekernel>
grmbl... improvised a M1 demo and had to try 4 USB mice before finding one that works
<lekernel>
next milkymist device won't have any fucking USB port
<lekernel>
I'm fed up with that crap
<wpwrak>
;-))
<wpwrak>
1/4 is bad, though. lesson: if doing demos, always carry one with you that is known to be good.
<lekernel>
1/5
<wpwrak>
were they all "normal" mice ? or some freaky combo devices ?
<lekernel>
bugs were: no motion at all (x2), only 1 axis, and cursor motion way too fast
<lekernel>
normal mice
<wpwrak>
i've seen the speed thing. still puzzles me why that would happen.
<wpwrak>
1 axis may be larger parameters (2 bytes instead of 1)
<wpwrak>
no motion could be the presence of a report ID. did your softusb include report partial descriptor parsing from xiangfu's hid branch ? he merged it a few days ago
<lekernel>
no, it didn't
<wpwrak>
that should filter our report ids. we still need to handle the other stuff, though
<wpwrak>
okay. may all be related to report descriptors then
<lekernel>
anyway... we'll have our own interface on the next MM product. this will escape pesky USB bugs.
<wpwrak>
i guess as devices get more sophisticated, we'll see more and more HID units make use of that stuff
<wpwrak>
naw, usb is good. we just have to outsource the nasty support work :)
