on N900, I've not been able to get the Ad-HOC WEP network with DHCPv4 server via either of the hotspot packages to work, once using CSSU/power kernel, it then breaks, I think

yes, a friend of mine has that and she loves it so much she got a new one after she finally found a way to actually break that thing. It's s sturdy device it seems, she's very rough with it and still it 'just works'
