<mdmkolbe> Why is this code http://pastebin.com/433774 ten times slower than the same code without tags (http://pastebin.com/433773)? (Both programs should be compiled and take one command line argument.) Is there a way to make the tagged version faster?
<mdmkolbe> I'm working on a compiler that generated ocaml from another dynamicly typed language (e.g. scheme or python)

<wren42> When I'm making a type ascription to specify that a module meets a predefined signature, I can use "with type blah = ..." to make the form of a type inside the structure visible to the rest of the program.
<wren42> Does anyone know how to make a type with a named constructor visible outside? That is, I have a type like: "type integer = Integer of int" and I want to make it visible.
<wren42> I've been hunting through the manual trying to find the syntax for this with little luck.
