<alyssa>
anarsoul: ^^ since IIRC you bugged me about that a lot way back (or was that adjtm?)
<anarsoul>

alyssa: yay
<Lyude>
let me know when that's done and I'll just do a pull request for the meson.build changes afterwards
<hanetzer>
Lyude: seems to be done
<hanetzer>
another question: what are the two type of mali cards' names panfrost is supposed to work for? Midgard and Bifrost, right?
<HdkR>
That is the goal

<hanetzer>
yeah. just needed the names to make the VIDEO_CARDS="panfrost" string description

<Lyude>
hanetzer: VIDEO_CARDS="panfrost"?
<hanetzer>
Lyude: yeah. on gentoo, when you install gfx drivers, you set a setting, VIDEO_CARDS, to a string describing what video cards you have on the system
<Lyude>
ooooh, right-I forgot you were doing an ebuild
<Lyude>
(I used to use gentoo a while ago btw :)
<Lyude>
hanetzer: anyway-are you OK with the plan I mentioned the weekend before last, trying to get panfrost working with the latest kernel driver from arm first before going onto seeing if we want our own kernel driver?
<Lyude>
since it only really seems to work with older versions of the driver at this point
<hanetzer>
Lyude: yeah, sounds good. can you point me at the newer driver's source?
<hanetzer>
I'm also going to make a gentoo dkms-style driver for that
