i cannot for the life of me figure out how to rebase this mr
<kinkinkijkin>
the guide on gitlab doesn't work on my end, ive been relying on downloading patches
<kinkinkijkin>
but in this case the patch doesn't work because there's been too many changes

yeah i couldve but then i wouldn't have had enough padding of my waking hours to reestablish a healthy sleep cycle
<kinkinkijkin>
oh right
<kinkinkijkin>
how do i do this
* icecream95
is busy with some "testing"
<kinkinkijkin>
ill wait for someone not busy
<kinkinkijkin>

curiously enough, maniaplanet runs fine until it hits the llvmpipe crash (not hardware-unique, happens on x86 too with it), but tmforever initializes a window then immediately gives up

icecream95 let it be known that I am building your mr for nine in panfrost right now to test
<kinkinkijkin>
can't get ninewinecfg to actually recognize this
<kinkinkijkin>
gonna go in the old fashioned way, with a shovel
<kinkinkijkin>
getting a different error than before with maniaplanet now
<kinkinkijkin>
before was unsupported opcode followed by a 64-bit word i dont remember
<kinkinkijkin>
now is illegal opcode followed by a 32-bit word i dont remember
<kinkinkijkin>

<alyssa>
ok, with the branch point ~behind, time to get back to the scheduler :)
<kinkinkijkin>
oh, okay now libgl_always_software is still leading to the same glxbadfbconfig crash?
<kinkinkijkin>
so it looks like this crash might not be related to using panfrost
<kinkinkijkin>
hold on a sec im gonna install debian mesa:armhf and try again
<macc24>
kinkinkijkin: fyi debian sid's mesa works on g72
<macc24>
alyssa: will more testing be useful on bifrost today?
<robmur01>
oh man, I've just remembered there's an Arndale board in my desk drawer that I snarfed in the last office clearout
<robmur01>
be glad that I can't get into the office to set that up running deqp :P
<macc24>
arndale?
<robmur01>
Exynos 5250 dev board
<macc24>
oh that
<macc24>
oh that's interesting*
<HdkR>
Supposedly people were able to actually buy them

haha i wish i got a fast arm dev board with 8gb of ram
<HdkR>
I was a poor and literally starving tech junkie when that board came out though. I was lucky enough to get a Snow when it came out

i could never predict that 1.8ghz arm chip would feel about as fast as my x201
jernej has quit [Client Quit]
<HdkR>
Neither could I, but snow was a hell of an upgrade from the initially launched Pandaboard. Even when thermally throttled and running at like 1.2Ghz :P
<HdkR>
Definitely wasn't as fast as the x220 that I got a couple years later
<macc24>
using c100pa made me get an odroid go advance to play with(develop stuff on it) and then i got a duet from you :D
<HdkR>
Need to share that ARM love with people
<macc24>
duet may even be as fast as x220
<macc24>
need to do some testing... i think that i7 3610qm still works in my 8460p

It very well could be as fast as x220 or more
<HdkR>
x220 was Ironlake or sandy bridge I believe? So ends up being quite slow when compared
<macc24>
x220 is sandy bridge
<macc24>
x201 is ironlake
<HdkR>
ah, I had an x201 then
<macc24>
duet is definitely faster than x201i with i3 m370
<macc24>
were there physical buttons on lower part of touchpad?
<HdkR>
I beleive so?
<macc24>
then it's x201
<HdkR>
I don't have fond memories of it, hard to remember :D
<macc24>
in x220 they removed those buttons and slapped some texture onto touchpad
<HdkR>
ah
<macc24>
my x201 was a super good deal, only $50 for a laptop where only wifi card wasn't working because rfkill button wasn't working correctly

infodump on qcom chromebook: nuvoton npcx7(npcx7m7wb) ec, backlit keyboard in some units, 60Ah battery if i calculated it right, 8MB spi flash chip, "regular" qcom blobs in coreboot and sc7180 soc
