<samth>
dzoe: in general i would just advise people to ignore `#:auto` in structs
<samth>
jcowan: the plan is not to have single flonums in Racket CS unless they become a lot more important to people
<jcowan>
Thanks for the information.
<samth>
jcowan: in particular, they were usually not faster than doubles
<jcowan>
Makes sense. One thing I've thought about is a library for doing special cases of mapping over homogeneous vectors that can be implemented with C numerical operations: (f32vector-+ vec1 vec2) would return a sum vector directly.
<jcowan>
The question is when to stop adding new cases.

samth: makes sense - although with #:mutable, it gets better, but yet ... that's #:mutable :)
<dzoe>
samth: btw, thanks for the net/ftp merge again - we're already running our CI/CD on snapshot builds and everything works like a charm!

I'd like to add a black rectangle in the bottom right of every slide in a slideshow presentation. Is there an easy way to do that? I found an old discussion about current-slide-assembler, and am wondering if this is still the best way

and it's probably not that hard

samth: OK, thanks.
<bremner>
in fact it's also discussed in the slideshow tutorial
