I want to redirect to my form after posting and getting an error. does rails have a built in convention so that i can redisplay the user's inputs? My redirect looks like this: `redirect_to edit_ldap_connection_test_path(params.merge(error_message: e.message))`. Is there a way to use the form helpers to automatically redisplay those user input values passed back in the query string of the redirect?

Hey guys, quick question. In the default Ruby on Rails gemfile some gems have a squiggly arrow. I know "~> 2.5" means ">= 2.5 < 3.0". But it also has turbolinks version listed as "~> 5" does this mean ">= 5.0 < 6.0" ??

For a method with named parameters like `def foo(param1:, param2)`, is there a way to access all of the parameters as a single hash inside the body of `foo`?

not sure if this is the place to ask, but: don't really know anything about the ruby ecosystem, just trying to install something that uses bundler for its deps, and was very surprised to see that "bundle install" isntalled a bunch of stuff to /var/lib/gems as root-owned files, while running as a regular user. is that expected/normal? did it sudo? can i stop it doing that?

ree is Ruby Enterprise Edition and that's been long dead
