<ewanchic> havenwood: Hey there!
<havenwood> ewanchic: Hi!
<havenwood> ewanchic: You could try posting to the mailing list. I could also make a meta post asking about your post. Or I can follow up with someone in person at RubyConf next month.
<havenwood> ewanchic: When posting, did you check the box?: This is a private discussion, don't let the public see it
<havenwood> ewanchic: Do you want me to raise the issue of your post being unanswered? Do you mind if I link to the post when doing so?
<havenwood> ewanchic: If you haven't posted to the mailing list, I'd do that too.
<ewanchic> havenwood: hey I just stepped out for bit...

<ewanchic> havenwood: yes. I actually did post on the mailing list back in Sep 24th - https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rubygems-org/OYTOk6FheIY Did I post to the right mailing list?
<ewanchic> havenwood: I don't think there was a checkmark. If there was (like on the help forum) I made sure it was public. Except for today, I posted a private message to Tender, the company that hosts help.rubygems.org
<ewanchic> havenwood: Yes, you can let others know, please. I actually found out how to contact 'sonalkr132' and I was thinking about sending an email out. Yes, you can send the links, I don't mind. You may also google me, etc, to confirm my identity. I try to keep a small, but publicly recognizable profile.
<ewanchic> havenwood: Thank for you help. I'm hoping to post my gem up in the next week or so. Things are progressing quick and I am excited to start sharing. I also have a small hiccup that might be regarding rvm & bash I'd like you to look at. Thank you again for all you're help!
<ewanchic> havenwood: I really have to laugh at my grammar. English is my native language, but when I re-read what I post, I sometimes wonder why my fingers type differently that what my brain thinks. If anything is confusing, don't hesitate to ask.
<havenwood> ewanchic: When did you first post?
<havenwood> ewanchic: Did I imagine it or did you say you reached the author? They then went radio silent?
<ewanchic> Yes, he actually contacted me on Oct 9th, and just said "You betcha". And that was it.
<havenwood> Did you include that in the latest update?
<ewanchic> havenwood: I did send him a how-to reply with my phone number if he wanted to call me.
<ewanchic> havenwood: I did, the one for today.
<havenwood> Did you send him the steps to xfer ownership?
<havenwood> Ah, good.
<havenwood> If he responded to an email, I'd advise sending exact steps, since it seems they're minimally willing to help.
<havenwood> Happy to help with what those steps are if that's not something you've already tried.
<havenwood> I can also post about your unmoderated response, but I'm not sure which would work faster.
<ewanchic> havenwood: Yes, I did. I can forward that too. I colorized it, and made it simple as possible, just two commands:
<ewanchic> username@server:~$ gem owner freight --add ewanchic@gmail.com
<ewanchic> username@server:~# gem signin
<havenwood> Nice, okay - that should help your case. Cool, I'll post a question about whether your post is in some kind of moderation limbo.
<ewanchic> havenwood: but my actual email had a full description. ....hmm is there still pastebin?
<havenwood> I usually use gist.github.com
<havenwood> ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
<havenwood> If you sent to RubyGems folk, that works!
<ewanchic> It's unlisted and should expire in 1 month.
<ewanchic> I guess I gave away my age huh :)
<ewanchic> ok, gist.github, nice. I remember that.
<ewanchic> Anyway, that's a text dump of the email correspondence I had with Tim.
<ewanchic> havenwood:...um, not to sound silly but, "how" do I send to the RubyGem folks?
<havenwood> Via the Help discussion - so if you've already done that all good.
<havenwood> Drafting a question post about the status of your moderation now.
<ewanchic> Thanks O:-)
<havenwood> Oops, bad link.
<havenwood> ewanchic: Is that ^ visible to you?
<ewanchic> It is, Thank you!
<havenwood> ewanchic: Since mine passed "automatic moderation" so fast, it makes me wonder if something got automatically false-positive flagged for you.
<havenwood> Hopefully you get a resolution soon. :)
<ewanchic> I really appreciate that! Yes, I'm really curious why, but I think that too. This is the 1st time I'm entering this arena. Me too, and Thanks again.
