Speaking of corruption, is there a better option for zero-downtime, consistent backups of Sandstorm other than running it on ZFS?
<TimMc>
Maybe relaxing the constraint from "consistent" to "not screwing up MongoDB". -.-
<TimMc>
(but all those grains might have their own DBs...)

TimMc: LVM or anything that can do snapshots should be fine.
<CcxWrk>
I think KVM also has some COW facility, but I never used it.

Interesting. I think I ran into difficulties with LVM, maybe with mounting the snapshot volume.

TimMc: I did backup my Sandstorm server by setting up home Sandstorm server and moving all grains with mass transfer button on Sandstorm web interface.
<TimMc>
haha nice, hadn't thought of that application of mass transfer
<TimMc>
Won't get the user management side of things, I guess.

TimMc: xfs complains on duplicate volume uuid (to prevent accidental double mount). There is option to ignore this check.
