<JacobWeisz[m]> The irony if we got funding from Google.
<JacobWeisz[m]> (The whole GitHub match funding is pretty ironic as it is, when Microsoft is paying for the development of an Office suite replacement.)

<JacobWeisz[m]> Looks like Google "fixed" Groups so you have to use a Google Account to join a group.
<JacobWeisz[m]> It says so on the page and the link about how to join without a Google account no longer loads.
<JacobWeisz[m]> Apparently they say get in touch on the mailing list and have no other process or documentation on how to get funding.
<JacobWeisz[m]> +subscribe does still work apparently. The documentation though for it appears to have been purged.

<xet7> At this FLOSS Weekly interview https://twit.tv/shows/floss-weekly/episodes/607?autostart=false MS said that they and Google did a lot of work to get IPv6 working in Kubernetes. So MS and Google do a lot of OSS work.
<xet7> Well, Wekan is competitor to MS Project, Trello, Jira, etc.
<xet7> Although someone did ask could Wekan be integrated with MS Teams, some of my developer friend said it would be a lot of work and expensive, so it did not progress.
<xet7> I did read from some webpage, that someone asked from MS Project people that could they implement import from Trello and Wekan.
<xet7> I do still have my personal website at Google Sites. I recently updated to new version of Google Sites, and organized pages to hierarchical menus https://www.xet7.org
<xet7> I also still use original G Suite Free version, Google has not discontinued it yet, it still has got updates with new features etc. New users can not get that old G Suite Free version.
<xet7> I did move my main wekan support email to Protonmail, because G Suite did move my daily received email to spam
<xet7> It's kind of love-hate relationship with Google and MS
<xet7> Wekan does run on Windows, with source bundle, docker, Linux Subsystem for Windows, etc
<xet7> I do build TSC https://secretchronicles.org on Vagrant KVM VM of Win10 Enterprise trial
<xet7> And sometimes try to run Win10 on laptop
<xet7> But unfortunately on Win10 video meetings crashed Windows
<xet7> So I'm mostly using Qubes OS
<xet7> I have not yet found does Google or MS use Wekan
<xet7> Yesterday at nerd club someone did bring me one year old expensive Android tablet. I tried all that nerd club time, evening, and night to try to login to that laptop. None of those 3 Gmail accounts of owner did let login. It's not possible to install any alternative OS. At https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tablets/galaxy-tab-a7-4g-does-not-accept-gmail-account/m-p/2436656 Samsung said that there is no workaround to this Google
<xet7> security feature. So tablet is just useless paperweight. There is no way to login, no way to install alternative OS.
<xet7> Originally when Internet was created, there was no thought of security. Now there is so much security, that it's easy to get locked out of device completely, so device can not be used at all.
<xet7> That's so nice.
<xet7> Well, I do like that CNCF pays Wekan servers. CNCF members https://www.cncf.io/about/members/ like MS, Google, Apple, Oracle, IBM, Atlassian, Intel, etc.
<xet7> And MS pays GitHub, like all repo downloads, wiki, etc hosting
<xet7> Wekan does work on Mac
<xet7> Many do run Wekan at AWS, Azure etc, so those companies are kind of paid by Wekan also.
