<catzguyn> I read the SCP whitepaper, and was very intrigued; but all the stellar APIs seem to be finance-driven. Is there a non-financial API for using SCP directly?
<stellar-slack>
<eva> Hey @catzguyn, welcome! Great to hear you’re excited about the white paper. Currently there isn’t really a way to access SCP as a standalone, though it’d be possible for someone else to create a library around it. Our focus at http://Stellar.org|Stellar.org is connecting people to low-cost financial services to fight poverty, so the API does center on financial uses.
<stellar-slack>
<catzguyn> Hmm, alright. Indeed your use case is exciting in it's own right
<stellar-slack>
<jed> catzguyn you can look in stellar-core the SCP part is easy to pull out
<stellar-slack>
<catzguyn> Yeah, considering that
<stellar-slack>
<catzguyn> Do you know of any other FBAS impls?
<stellar-slack>
<catzguyn> It seems like this stuff has stayed rather academic
