<dzham> Some kind of SDK usage would be needed, since you have to sign the transactions before you send them with cURL
<stellar-slack>
<dzham> nevermind
<stellar-slack>
<davidn> hello
<stellar-slack>
<davidn> anybody here know to keep lumen offline
<stellar-slack>
<davidn> 100% securely?
<stellar-slack>
<eva> @davidn hey, welcome! I’d hesitate to say anything is 100% secure, but you can use cold wallet. Here’s a sample cold wallet built in Go (please note that it’s still in development, and isn’t an official release from http://Stellar.org|Stellar.org). https://github.com/bartekn/cold
<stellar-slack>
<davidn> why currently Stallar just need secret key to log into account without using 2-verification protection?
<stellar-slack>
<davidn> it is too dangerous if some hackers steal your that key
<stellar-slack>
<dzham> davidn: generate a keypair when you’re not connected to the internet. Write down the private key. Done
<stellar-slack>
<eva> @davidn Do you mean in the account viewer? In order to stay focused on our core mission and encourage community ownership of the ecosystem, we don’t plan on significant development of the account viewer. Instead, we’re improving open-source developer tools so that people can build their own apps and services.
<stellar-slack>
<eva> But lik @dzham says, you can still do cold storage w/o using the account viewer.
<stellar-slack>
<dzham> @eva: What’s the latest in the ecosystem BTW? What are people up to? There’s not so much talk anymore since me and scotty stopped pestering the place :)
<stellar-slack>
<eva> There are also some other projects in the works that we should be able to announce soon :)
<stellar-slack>
<davidn> sorry, I'm too new to this technique, could anybody please send me step-by-step to do cold storage?
<stellar-slack>
<dzham> @eva: Oh, that’s cool… I’ve got an uncle here in the Philippines who’s in the Cocoa industry, I’ve tried talking to him about selling equity in the harvests using cryptocurrencies
<stellar-slack>
<eva> @dzham: oh, nice! That would be really cool. Do you know if other people are doing that? There are so many applications for the agriculture market, imo. We’re just starting to see ideas emerge now, but I think it’s going to accelerate.
<stellar-slack>
<eva> @davidn do you know how to use the command line/terminal?
<stellar-slack>
<dzham> @eva: I don’t know.. Do you know about the guys in south-am, Woodshares? They’re doing something similar. They’re taking on investment to fund some property, plant trees, harvest the wood, sell it. But they are still at the funding stage
<stellar-slack>
<eva> Huh. No, hadn’t heard of them before but this looks really interesting. Curious to see what happens after the initial funding. Looks like their team has a nice mix of tech and forestry.
<stellar-slack>
<eva> @davidn: got your dm - I’ll reply there :)
<stellar-slack>
<eva> Signing off for the night -see you all tomorrow (tomorrow California time, that is)
