litghost: mithro: I'm finding a few things about the Spartan7 as I go through this exercise, but I don't know TCL or the bitstream format very well so I'm hesitant to make any PR's. But basically, I've had to figure out how to deal with some unbonded IOBs, and it looks like the IOB_SING "half IOBs" at the top/bottom of each column is handled a bit differently in the Spartan7. There's also a subtle

difference in the BSCANE block, and after coaxing 005-tilegrid to run and skipping the IOB_SING logic I can get an HTML doc map of the Spartan7 to generate only if I add some exception handling logic to deal with a few grid locations that are still missing.

basically, I'm not sure if you care for me to document what I'm finding anywhere, or if you'd find it a distraction. I fully appreciate how hard your current task is, I'm not advocating in the least that you should expand your scope to include the spartan7.

but the changes i'm making to get the spartan7 to work I worry will cause regression bugs on your other code, and that would be really annoying for you.
