I found the why my build of CM7 doesn't works, because CWM can't extract /system to /system partition, and this makes a non bootable phone because it don't have a OS

I try to flash a TWRP recovery.img on my S4 using heimdall flash --RECOVERY ~rd/s4bin/S4/S4Root/recovery.img

The command completes without error message, but I continue to boot into the stock recovery.

I don't know if it makes any difference, but the howto says to use --no-reboot

Specifically, it says that because if you don't reboot into recovery right afterwards the kernel can be reset to stock by the ROM I think.

what I did with my sgs2 was 1) --no-reboot 2) wait for the blue bar to complete 3) hold the button combo in until I saw the recovery screen again
