enyc: thanks ! :) the idea is also that it is more secure than, say, a smartphone: since it only does one type of tasks, the attack surface is much smaller. e.g., no malware riding on angry birds will be able to steal your passwords.
<wpwrak>
also from an operational point of view, you know that this device contains (only) important things. so it's easier to know when to pay attention to it.
<edwin>
can it store ECC/RSA ssh/pgp keys?
<wpwrak>
edwin: that would be a possibility. right now, it doesn't do that, but it's all open (sw, hw, case design, even the tools), so one can add features easily enough.
<wpwrak>
i'll also want it to be able to act as authenticator for google and such. anything that lets me have the shared secret is fair game :)

enyc: anelok currently uses #qi-hardware (which has all sorts of other discussions, too), but most of the activity is on the mailing list, see http://anelok.com/people.html
<wpwrak>
also the mailing list is that of qi-hw, but there, anelok is fairly dominant these days :) i'll have to split things off the qi-hw channels, though, for better focus when the project outgrows its original community
