<kvirani> @Blacksmoke16 / @waghanza I've made some progress on issue #1089 but it's not complete. Just wanted to give a progress update. Should I open a WIP PR now or wait? More importantly, I'd love some coaching from someone like @Blacksmoke16 since I'm new to Crystal and Amber, but want to really dig in. Your insights about the language and the codebase would be a great accelerator in my learning. LMK

<Blacksmoke16> TBH I know almost nothing about Amber itself :P, however if you have questions about Granite or Amber-Router I can help you out
<FromGitter>
<Blacksmoke16> you could prob set the PR to draft, would at least give ability for people to give some feedback

<JohnLegrand> Hey guys. Wondering if someone could give me some advice. We have a rails monolith. Our report generation is becoming very slow. So we are thinking of creating an Amber/Crystal micro service that can compute these numbers quickly. We have a fairly large DB and everything is connected through active record relations. Which scenario would make the most sense? 1# Crystal hits our existing DB with SQL. #2.

... Use some sort of DB first ORM. If this is the best option.. which is the best ORM for DB first?. Also.. will we basically have to replicate all our models inside of our Crystal project?? Thanks guys.
