<ericxdu_> I hadn't realized the Linux 3.4 problem with A10/A20 was such a blocking issue
<ericxdu_> It occurs to me EOMA68-A20 needs this solved in order to go into mass-production
<ericxdu_> Hopefully over 2,500 people presumably getting a card from this limited run means some people will get to work on the kernel problem

<lkcl> ericxdu_, that's the general idea. it's actually only around 800. there's 2,500 backers of which 800 have pledged for Cards.
<lkcl> ericxdu_, i originally only wanted it to be a maximum of 250 people to receive Cards, but the numbers would not have been high enough to reach *financial* critical mass.
<lkcl> i _have_ been saying this for some time - that the cards have to go out with 3.4.104 from sunxi. it's just that there are people on the list who haven't heard it before or haven't been paying attention as it's "theoretical" / "hypothetical".
<lkcl> actually getting close to production focusses people's minds a bit
