someone just told me a bit about rsa accumulators. In such a "blockchain", how does one tell if you have a correct copy of the ledger? or is that why these chains don't exist yet?

rsa accumulators are a cryptographic primitive, not a blockchain

there are probably a dozen ways in which you can use accumulators as part of a design

anyway to make the blockchain super small? where I guess the point being you don't even need all the transactions to verify the chain

if I could check whether any hash (say of a tx) is in the accumulator - I was kind of imaging the accumulator itself as the blockchain which needs to be exchanged, then the "light clients" can check whether their transactions are really there but just need a tiny data structure. I guess maybe the nodes who want to verify still need all transactions though. Nevermind :(

DeanGuss: given just the accumulator, even if transactions provided proofs that UTXOs are in there, I don't think there is a way to prove that the accumulator was constructed honestly since the genesis block without actually reconstructing it yourself
