Hi. I'm new to gridcoin, but I'm about to be getting a cluster of Raspberry Pi 2s. Are there any projects that would fare better on those over others or do they pretty much all wind up being equal?

you can hang them from the fucking ceiling, in all actuality.
<Peppernrino>
like a gpu server
<m1sterlurk>
plug them in via a PCI riser cable running out the side of your computer and voila

6ft. ;)
<RoyalPhay>

is all I need
<Peppernrino>
8 foot bunch.
<m1sterlurk>
If you're plugging in 6 cards, you're rapidly going to have to stack them further away from the motherboard. Granted you could probably buy like 2 7" cables and then get like 4 2-foot cables to reach up to the rest of them.
<m1sterlurk>
hell, you could just screw the cards to the wall

having some vm related issues myself
<RobertArctor>
minor in comparison to yours.... that's a chunk of servers

checking that now

similar story on asteroids on the physical to vmware machines
<cbr>
seems to be cpu architecture related
<RobertArctor>
right on. I was using esxi 6, worke well with a windows 8 vm but unfortunately that drive is not booting now and no backup wallet =(
<cbr>
the Xeon E5345's havnt had as much as an integer drop as the E5450's
<cbr>
you can take the vmdk file and build a new vm with it
<cbr>
if its not bootable then use a live/boot iso to access it
<RobertArctor>
will try that if I can get to it
<RobertArctor>
thanks cbr
<cbr>
just browse the datastore
<cbr>
you can see the vmdk in there (it'll be the big one)
<cbr>
should also be mountable to another vm but take a backup of it first before mounting it or spinning it up as a new vm
<cbr>
Under the summary tab, right clock on the datastore and browse
<cbr>
click too :)
<cbr>
breakfast....
<RobertArctor>
thank you cbr!
<RobertArctor>
will definitely try that when I get the chance.

doesn't vmware have a doodad for that? to automate software or os updates?

<Cartoonman>
customminer: hmm ok. I just saw this morning an issue with an invalid block preventing my client from getting into sync. something about POS reward too large
