Introverted (Discord): many of the `ipfs files` commands allow to set `--flush=false`. That may be related to what you're trying.

RubenKelevra: Hm, is there something wrong with your arch linux mirror? I (and gateway.ipfs.io likewise) can resolve `/ipns/pkg.pacman.store/arch/` but not `/ipns/pkg.pacman.store/arch/x86_64/`. The resolution I cached 20 hours ago can't be fetched anymore either.

Would sure be nice if riot inserted messages according to the sent timestamp, not the receive timestamp (given that those timestamps are plausible in the message graph).

<JCaesar "Kinda meh though that the whole "> Yeah, that was a limitation by ipfs-cluster. Just have to add some stuff to my script and it will just stall the import, but not the lookups of the IPNS records

<RubenKelevra[m]>
ˈt͡sɛːzaɐ̯: also you currently cannot share and switch IPNS records between servers... see ticket:
<JCaesar>
I may be in danger of repeating myself, but… how about quitting using IPNS? (Or at least provide an alternative that doesn't require it.)
<JCaesar>
Hm, the IPNS key behind the dnslink of pkg.pacman.store is the only key that resolves to the mirror content? I mean, adding some alternatives, and having the pacman downloader script automatically pick one is not too difficult either.
<JCaesar>
(I assume. No idea about the ipfs cluster side. That's black magic.)
<RubenKelevra[m]>
Yeah sure, I can do something with the CID after each update run. What do you want me to do with it? :)
mowcat has joined #ipfs
<RubenKelevra[m]>
The issue in the first 96 hours after this server is offline, is not IPNS, but that no other node can republish the same IPNS (there's a ticket for this, just can't find it). This way I could just keep the same IPNS record alive without changing it from other servers - so the resolution time wouldn't be horrible.
cxl000 has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds]
<RubenKelevra[m]>
And currently this server holds the folders. So no cluster member hold them (that's the cluster limitation I talked about). This will be resolved soon.

does the first site has to be named index.html or can it be anything.html?

index.html is the default page, if you want people to look at your directory tree you can name it anything.html
<K_Data>
thx
<naksyn[m]>
so if you browse a server https://server.tld/ the server searches for an index.* if there is none, you see the directory and all the files in it
<naksyn[m]>
But you don't want that most of the time, except you want to distribute the data on the server
<naksyn[m]>

ˈt͡sɛːzaɐ̯: theoretically I could extend my setup to have two or more importing servers. But haven't tested out cluster concurrencies. But since both "writes" should be the same - it's actually not important which writing server "wins".
<RubenKelevra[m]>
So I could run an active-active setup, but IPNS is the blocker here.
<RubenKelevra[m]>
ˈt͡sɛːzaɐ̯: what exactly was your idea with the "replace IPNS"?
