<MaDMaLKaV> yay, got the remote working
<MaDMaLKaV> actually, got it on saturday, but had to leave before compiling ended and couldn't test until now
<mack-> grats! :)
<MaDMaLKaV> I will like to be able to use a MCE remote without user having to change the config, currently if I do a ir-keytable it only shows lirc and nec protocols as enabled
<MaDMaLKaV> I think for x86 and amlogic rc6 support is enabled by default too, will have to investigate how

<zege> Hi, I'm having a audio-passtrough problem with libreelec on a Intel NUC6CAYH. I installed all BIOS und firmware updates (with win10) and then installd libreelec. Now I want to set my AV-Reciver to HD-Audio capable, but I don't have any switches below the audio-passthrough-device-selection. Is there any way to get them?

<martian67> any way to add enviromental variables somehow before kodi starts?
<MaDMaLKaV> there is an autostart.sh script I dunno if you can use it for that
<MaDMaLKaV> Updated my WIP forum thread so when I have time to work on this device again I have actually an idea where I left lol
<martian67> you cant, because its a child of the main thing that runs processes
<martian67> so it wont help any
<MaDMaLKaV> I also hope I will attract some help, it starts to feel like this device could be completely supported with not much effort
<martian67> i need them set before kodi.sh is run
<MaDMaLKaV> I'm not very familiar with LE differences to "normal" linux distros, so I'm not sure what else to try
<MaDMaLKaV> is not /etc/profile file to edit, or can't you add a .profile file for the user that runs kodi ?
<martian67> hmm didnt look will now
<martian67> nope /etc is inside the ro squashfs
<seo> you can abuse /storage/.kodi/addons/*/profile.d/*.profile
<martian67> so that definitely wont work
* seo runs
<martian67> seo, thanks
<martian67> but i dont think that will be run before kodi starts?
<seo> see profile.d/00-addons.conf
<MaDMaLKaV> mount -o remount,rw whatever
<martian67> MaDMaLKaV, you cannot remount squashfs rw
<martian67> its ro only
<seo> kodi.sh sources . /etc/profile
<MaDMaLKaV> I see, so seo sugestion seems the better one
<seo> so yeah, that runs
<martian67> seo, yeah but its ro :)
<seo> [23:33:29] <<seo>> you can abuse /storage/.kodi/addons/*/profile.d/*.profile
<seo> make a dummy one. and buy me a beer
<martian67> so just make a folder called anything?
<martian67> in addons?
<seo> addons/anything/profile.d/anything.profile
<martian67> got you
<MaDMaLKaV> I will suggest changing "anything" for "seo" in gratitude >D
<martian67> ah yes /etc/profile.d/00-addons.conf
<martian67> i see what you mean now
<martian67> excellent
<seo> :)
<martian67> im turning opengl to software mode, shh dont tell anyone
<seo> idk if systemctl edit works
<martian67> doubt it
<seo> iirc, I've disabled that, long time ago, not sure if anyone changed it
<seo> I dont use LE..
<martian67> hmm it dosent like that much
<seo> but.. .config/system.d/kodi.service.d/override.conf may work
<seo> try and check with systemctl cat..
* seo runs
<martian67> eh shouldnt be nessisary
<seo> I mean you could just add some Environment=XXX=yyy or something.
<seo> the nice systemd way :)
<seo> but I dont know if that works on LE, and can't test.
<martian67> yeah that might be a better approach i think this weird addon folder is making kodi barf
<martian67> seo, seems to work
<martian67> as in edit places it in that folder
<martian67> rebooting and testing
<seo> systemd overrides ?
<martian67> yes
<seo> systemctl cat kodi.service would tell
<martian67> yeah its there
<martian67> seems that librelec opengl dosent like being run in software mode however...
<seo> systemctl daemon-reload; systemctl restart kodi
<seo> should be enough
<seo> well, idk, is there "software mode" at all ?
<seo> :D
<martian67> im thinking the libraries arent there but i dont know
<martian67> oh well was worth a try
<seo> they are most likely not there.
<seo> wy you dont just systemctl stop kodi. then env WHATEVER=moo /usr/lib/kodi.bin -- --whatever ?
<seo> you know what I mean.
<martian67> well for testing thats fine yeah
<martian67> all my text dissappears after i start playback sigh
<seo> did it work? if not, it's worth nothing to figure out how to export nonsense via systemd overrides or profile or whatever (there are other ways, yeah)
<martian67> i mean the actual setting of it does work yes
<martian67> but kodi isnt happy with it
<seo> :))
