<ttim> hi
<seo> hi, asl pls lol
<ttim> i could need some help...
<ttim> i am a somewhat experienced debianuser but are totally new to using a minimalistic os like libreelec
<ttim> i followed the steps at https://wiki.libreelec.tv/pulseaudio
<ttim> but i couldn't get the "soundcard" to work
<ttim> i also tried load-module module-alsa-sink
<seo> why would a "sane" Le user want to use pulseaudio, except for bluetooth shit audio stuff ?
<ttim> but it seams like that there is no alsa device at all
<ttim> so kodi seams to access the sound hardware in some other way...
<ttim> so, how can i make pulseaudio use the physical sound hardware?
<seo> kodi uses alsa.
<seo> wy do you need pulse?
<seo> why*
<ttim> to play audio from my phone using Bluetooth
<seo> ok, I'm out ;)
<ttim> it's a raspberry pi, and it seams like libreelec dose not use alsa to interface Kodi with the sound hardware there...
<ttim> so do i need to load some modules?
<ttim> seo: thanks anyway
<ttim> modprobe snd-alsa or so?
<seo> lrusak: ^^ :)))
<ttim> here is my logfile:
<ttim> there you can see the pi model and that kodi is using a special pi driver for the sound hardware
<ttim> guess it's the reason it has to run as root...
tuxiano has quit [Quit: tuxiano]
<TheTrash> LE isn't a multi-user OS in any way, so everything is run as root.
<TheTrash> So.. all those pactl commands worked?
<ttim> no
<TheTrash> Then we should probably check the one where it stopped working :P
<ttim> module-load module-alsa-sink did not
<ttim> cause there is no alsa device
<TheTrash> So pactl list short sinks comes up empty?
<ttim> and the one in the guide worked that far that it had been executed, but not with the sugsess that there was a hardware sink after that
<ttim> yes
<ttim> empty
<ttim> mom...
<ttim> ill try that last post change to confog
<ttim> *config
<ttim> txt
<ttim> rebooting...
<ttim> damn, thats bright
<ttim> lets see...
<ttim> yea, i can hear something :)
<ttim> but its disturbed..
<ttim> thanks so far...
<TheTrash> Heh, progress nonetheless!
<ttim> yes ;)
<ttim> and kodi over pulse seams to play without disturbences
<ttim> so i guess i have to switch the Bluetooth profile...
<ttim> somehow...
<ttim> ny idea?
<ttim> any idea how to do that?
<ttim> i only did it using guis lile pavucontrol and blueman
<ttim> but how to set the bluez audio profile using cmd?
<TheTrash> No clue, never tried anything like that myself, sorry.
<ttim> grate now kodi crashes...
<ttim> here with crashlog
<ttim> maybe this can be read by someome here or forwarded to the developers
<ttim> maybe this can be read by someome here or forwarded to the developersmaybe it had to do something with the libreelec addon that i used to connect to another phone using Bluetooth while it was still connected to one...
<ttim> nevertheless, i have to go to sleep now, thanks for your time and your help
<ttim> and it is still disturbed with the other phone
<ttim> and on both phones the volume is not setable at all
<mack-> ttim: you're talking about phones. Are you trying to playing only the audio using the phone speaker/headphones?
gouchi has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<ttim> speakers
<mack-> displaying video on TV?
<ttim> no, iam trying to use the raspi as a Bluetooth speaker and playing music from the phone to it
<ttim> no video at all, just music
<mack-> LE/kodi isn't the tool I'd choose for that :)
<ttim> its working so far (with ans without running kodi at the same time)
<ttim> but it is disturbed
<mack-> That being said, you might look at yatse for the phone. You can cast the audio from your device to the kodi Pi.
<ttim> yea, i will try raspbian tomorrow
<ttim> yea i know, but i want to play music from all apps and not using upnp
<mack-> there are ways to set up a Pi to just act as a bluetooth speaker. No need for kodi or any complicated software like that.
<ttim> yea, any finished image for that you can suggest?
<mack-> I would have to begin with google :)
<ttim> i just would prefere to dont have to reboot or do something to switch from kodi to Bluetooth speaker mode and back (so running them simultaneously)
<ttim> yea, I'll try that tomorrow, now i have to go to bed, thanks so far
<ttim> maybe someone could forward the crash log i pasted, i guess it's related to the libreelec Kodi add-on
<mack-> ttim: I think yatse is for you, since you're wanting to keep kodi running.
