<chewitt>
lainlives RK pruned their source trees a while back so lots legacy kernel commits are gone
<chewitt>
if LE images were using a specific commit in an official release it should be on our sources server
<chewitt>
vpeter "from a quick glance he's fiddling with the legacy glib mainloop, which is known to cause issues and which we are trying to eliminate - legacy python dbus with glib dep has to go"
<chewitt>
I may have misunderstood your question .. you know me and Python things aren't a good combo
<chewitt>
I got an sms from FedEx telling me a co. I never heard of is shipping me a package
<chewitt>
Googling the co. name suggests a location in Israel so I think this is SolidRun
<chewitt>
so hopefully I am introduced to the world of cubox soon

<vudiq>
guys, I am currently testing on clean install of ubuntu. is grub supposed to use the local gettext or the toolchain gettext for the ./bootstrap? if toolchain gettext, then probably gettext:host should be added to PKG_DEPENDS_TARGET
<vudiq>
the reason for testing on ubuntu [20.04.*] is if I can upgrade from 18.04
<vudiq>
disregard, its already done in master branch

<r0bert>
hey all
<r0bert>
anyone else experiencing the following issue? -> playing yt-videos results occasionally in the video and sound freezing, and then only the sounds continues while the picture remains frozen
<r0bert>
LE 9.2.6, rpi4
<r0bert>
(videos started/sent via the "cast to kodi" addon for firefox)
<pragmaticenigma>
r0bert, have you checked to make sure there isn't updates to addons pending?
kriger has quit [Read error: Connection timed out]
<r0bert>
just did an update, pragmaticenigma (at least it said so)
<r0bert>
also run an update for inputstream
<lainlives>
well guys thanks for the operating system, turned this unusable impulse buy $20 tv box into a 1080p 265 nfs streaming machine
<lainlives>
the oem software on it couldnt even handle 720p 265, its impressive (im sure that android build was far from optimized, and was also android 7 spoofed as 10.1)
<r0bert>
what kind of device did you buy?
<pragmaticenigma>
r0bert, There appears to be something with youtube at the moment. I just tried to pull a video and it's running super slow for me
|Jeroen| has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
<r0bert>
have been observing this for the past few weeks
<r0bert>
it's a shame anyways, that yt makes you jump thru hoops just to have the content running
<pragmaticenigma>
using anything but official apps and the youtube website is technically a violation of their terms of service. so kind of get what you get
<r0bert>
well, it looks like that i am some kind of developer now! :P
<pragmaticenigma>
I don't know what that's supposed to mean
<r0bert>
you need to create an api-key using googles developer portal for the yt addon to work
<lainlives>
r0bert: sory i was building...building...building again changing things, its an rk3228a android tv box, one of the 'mxq 4k pros' that seem to be made by 30 companies
<lainlives>
the port someone made to it is pretty boss, using LE as the libmali driver is a bit lacking for how much power i have to work with
<lainlives>
cant imagine incorporating bt internally would be too hard using the uart interface either
