<camelreef> Hello everyone. I have an LE10 on RPi 4 question that is probably better asked here, instead of crowding the forum: I'm trying to find ELD info for HDMI audio capabilities, usually found in /proc/asound. Is it an Intel specific thing? Is there an equivalent on RPi4?

<lrusak> camelreef: /proc/asound should exist on an RPi
<camelreef> it does, but I can't find any eld file
<camelreef> lrusak: it does, but I can't find any eld file
<lrusak> not sure, did you check in /proc/asound/card0/ ?
<camelreef> find /proc/asound -name *eld* gives nothing
<lrusak> what version are you using?
<lrusak> ah, LE10
<camelreef> LE10, nightly, 20210426
<lrusak> yea not sure then
<lrusak> is HDMI plugged in? :P
<camelreef> hehehe.... yes!
<camelreef> I have the EDID, which decodes with all the good info
<lrusak> and is there a problem or are you just curious?
<camelreef> it's just that the eld files give a good verification point for anything audio
<camelreef> well, I'm gearing up for problems :
<camelreef> :)
<camelreef> I have spotted an issue, which I can't come back to right away, without any logs taking
<camelreef> I just want to plan for some troubleshooting points before I come crying for help
<camelreef> I know, no debug logs, no problem...
<camelreef> I'm trying to do some homework
<camelreef> I am curious, and I'm planning on a problem :)
<lrusak> ah yes the dual hdmi hack
<camelreef> funny thing, works with one TV, not with the other, same receiver
gouchi has joined #libreelec
<camelreef> lrusak: well, this is a very useful hack, great savings in receiver upgrades, placing the RPi4 in a very unique position

<BallSublime> Hi everyone. I've got full-range front speakers, so I'd like to add the patch https://github.com/osmc/osmc/blob/master/package/mediacenter-osmc/patches/all-113-add-support-to-mix-LFE.patch to Kodi and subsequently to the Libreelec on my HTPC. Is this the right place to ask for pointers on how to achieve this? Can I just pull from my fork of the
<BallSublime> original kodi repo whilst building a custom image or are there any better means to get this done?
<lrusak> I don't really understand why you need that patch
<BallSublime> I tested the different audio channels and saw that LFE was discarded, so I figured I'd want to keep LFE in a downmix.
<lrusak> Do you not have a receiver?
<BallSublime> No, I use active modules in my speakers.

<evert1> lrusak: the audio sending to my pa (network) tunnel sink is still working great a few days later and some reboots. Making the pulse server with a ro / and testing if it would reconnect is for next weekend hopefully
<lrusak> awesome
