<brads> narmstrong: Thanks for Uboot/HDMI!
<memeka> brads: did you test it yet?
<lvrp16> memeka: it works really well. they're already here if you have a le potato to test: https://libre.computer/2019/01/18/linux-4-19-lts-images-for-le-potato/
<memeka> lvrp16: only have a c2
<memeka> lvrp16: did you try h265 support?
<lvrp16> memeka: oh, i have not tested gxbb hdmi video, libreelec guys says h265 (certain profiles) work fine on gxl
<memeka> lvrp16: i could not make h264 work :( only mpeg4
<memeka> i do have an older version of the patch, w/o h265 even
<lvrp16> are the display ip the same for gxbb and gxl?
<memeka> lvrp16: should be
<ndufresne> memeka, h265 code is quite different, unrelated, works well on the last image I tested, I'm quite trilled with the HDMI work
<memeka> ndufresne: did you test h264 as well?
<ndufresne> yes, that works on recent images
<ndufresne> there is most likely more corner case to come, but it's working
<memeka> ndufresne: give me few minutes to try it again, I just saw a kernel update
<memeka> (I’m using armbian kernel)
<ndufresne> also, there is a probably some polishing now that the media spec settle
<memeka> ndufresne: did you try multi stream decoding? Or still one at the time?
<ndufresne> ah, not sure it was there yet, thing might have moved
<ndufresne> it's a bit special because not all firmware / codecs have the same generation of HW design
<memeka> :(
<ndufresne> so it's from single stream, or dual stream to being able to save the state for unlimited multiplexing
<ndufresne> would need to ask Maxime for the final state
<ndufresne> memeka, how many streams do you need ?
<memeka> ndufresne: 4 would be great
<memeka> Eg 4x1080 would be possible (same load as 4K)
<ndufresne> yeah, I'd poing mjourdan on what is possible there
