<hexdump0815> xdarklight: any plans to submit your latest own version of the meson8b mxq dtb to mainline? it works really well for me and the one in mainline is too simple to be usedful ...
<hexdump0815> how do i properly delete uboot / the bootloader on a tv box to make it boot from sd card to play around with mainline uboot? i tried a simple dd if=/dev/zero to the emmc device from linux, but looks like this does not cover the bootloader, so i ended up with a box which still had a working uboot which could not find its dtb anymore :)
<hexdump0815> looks like uboot seems to be in mmcblk?boot0/1, but those are not writable from linux
<hexdump0815> so looks like i'll have to erase it from uboot - there i found references to "store init 3" in the khadas doc and there is also something like "mmc erase 0 1000" - which one to use and is this the proper way at all?

<ldevulder> khilman, hi! I tested your kernel branch on my khadas vim and the emmc access seems to be fixed (I just now have the emmc detected as mmc1 instead of mmc2, which is better)
<ldevulder> khilman, but I'm still not able to reach a login prompt, I need to investigate why...

<ldevulder> khilman, I think it's more an issue with some kernel module, as (open)SUSE kernel is not exactly vanilla maybe some parts are different... I will try to test when your changes will be merged in the kernel
