hi, Did someone test RTC_HYM8563 recently ? the drivers hangs when it registers/enables clk xin32k (that's not caused by the driver itself, perhaps a clk bug)

and use the same bindings as chromeos-4.4, right?
<mmind00>

LongChair: fwiw, the rk3288 board I have here, which does 4k in android, has 1100MB/s RAM. I'll check decoding in linux soon (I need to fix hdmi...)

LongChair: decoding with gstreamer isn't smooth either. decoding with null video output of a 5m video, took 3m, so assuming the bottleneck is the RAM, it would need to be able to do that in 2.5 to be smooth. fwiw, i tested with screen at 60Hz, I'm not too sure whether that matters
<phh>
(with rkximagesink, it's too slow)
<paulk-collins>
no sw scaling involved?
<paulk-collins>
that's more than often a bottleneck
<phh>
no, with rkximagesink, the scaling is done with drm API using VOP IP
<paulk-collins>
nice
<phh>
though I think wzyy2 mentioned that VOP is too slow to do 4k => 1080p
<phh>
only rga or vpu is fast enough for that
