<LongChair> ayaka: drm & dmabuf
<LongChair> but i have the feeling that for 4k@50/60 the limitation comes from the decoder
cnxsoft has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<LongChair> ayaka: you're around ?
wzyy2 has joined #linux-rockchip
<LongChair> i would expect to have it
<LongChair> i use a kernel that is just a couple weeks old
<LongChair> wzyy2: i'm using the Tinker OS image with a kernel i had to replace to get the vpu-service
<LongChair> So i might have an old xserver but the kernel should be rather recent
<LongChair> but if i just take care about decoding, i seem not to be able to keep the pace anyways
<LongChair> typically that video can't keep it up : http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=143
<LongChair> so i'd be interested to know if gstreamer can play it properly, which would mean i have something wrong in my code here
<LongChair> like this one plays fine : http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=134
wens has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds]
<LongChair> @wzyy2 : it actually doesn't seem to be in the kernel i had ... odd
<LongChair> does it improve fps ?
<wzyy2> yes, otherwise drmsetplane will block till the next vsync.
<wzyy2> It's a workaround, so it didn't be merged into the main branch.
mrjay has joined #linux-rockchip
<mrjay> anyone know why this happens? http://paste.ubuntu.com/23982466/
<LongChair> wzyy2: so will this get fixed in main branch anytime soon ?
<mmind00> mrjay: you'll need to provide a bit more context ... "Failed to find PMU node" is an indicator. That message is not part of the mainline smp-code (also indicated by the missing prefix before it)
<mmind00> mrjay: but arch/arm/mach-rockchip/platsmp.c from the kernel you're using might be worth looking at
wzyy2 has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds]
<mrjay> mmind00: i'm trying to boot ubuntu kernel by uboot and getting this.
<mrjay> mmind00: about "Failed to find PMU node" mainline also shows that
mrjay has quit [Quit: Page closed]
<mmind00> mrjay: ok, found that message in the suspend code, but that does look like it will simply exit normally if it doesn't find the node, so looks like this piece seems innocent
