<micken> ayaka: good morning
<ayaka> micken, morning
<micken> ayaka: I get both done and error bits set in i2cmphy_stat0 after i2c write. Is this normal , or should it be one of them?
<ayaka> micken, it is strange
<ayaka> usually only of them would be set. anyway the error bit shows there is an error
<ayaka> but you don't need to use i2c at beginning, a low resolution would always work
<micken> I know
<micken> ?
<micken> I don't know what to check, the phy seems powered up
<micken> ayaka: do you know how a word write get truncated when writing to hdmi ( 8-bit registers)?
<ayaka> micken, have you got the output of hdmi normal now?
<micken> ayaka: no nothing, what do I need at the minimal to have something?
<ayaka> micken, the i2c is used to read EDID, I don't think it is necessary to make the hdmi output work
<ayaka> you could force the HDMI phy work at a resolution like 1024x768 @30HZ
<micken> ayaka: i2c is the only way to communicate with the phy
<micken> 30Hz?
<ayaka> micken, the refresh frequency
<micken> I don't think my monitor can handle 30Hz
<micken> ayaka: there are two paths for i2c, one for phy that is internal, and one for edid/ddc (external)
<ayaka> then use the 60HZ
<micken> I am trying to setup it like that , but I thought that need to setup pixelclock
<micken> and afaik only way is to use phy i2c
<ayaka> micken, have you checked the "Following flow is a configuration example of VGA (640x480p)"
<micken> ayaka: in your docs?
<ayaka> micken, I didn't give you any document
<micken> ayaka: I meant in the trm
<ayaka> micken, yes
<micken> ayaka: the only real documentation I have for the controller is form i.MX6. The trm is very sparse. I haven't found the path you mentioned
<micken> ayaka: can you give me a pointer to the document in question?
<ayaka> micken, if it is not be public, I could do nothing

<kloczek> hi,
<kloczek> I'm looking for some documentation about how to install Fedora on rk3399 firefly
<kloczek> can someone pint on some documetation?
<kloczek> cannot find what is the default baund rate of the serial console on this HW
<beeble> if it's uart2 then the default baud rate if not reconfigured by software is 1500000
<kloczek> 115200 ?
<beeble> no, 1500000 (1.5Mbaud)
<kloczek> oki :)
<kloczek> just swapped my pine64 with my fiend and I have now firefly 4GB/rk3399 so I'm trying to bite it :P
<beeble> but i don't own a firefly, so not sure if it's uart2. just guessing on what you would normally use as debug uart
<kloczek> have kind of problems with finding documentation about this hw :(
<kloczek> is it anything preinstalled on internal storage?
<beeble> looks like there is something online
