<tuxd3v> wens, without gmac2phy, the lan port is not even detected..
<tuxd3v> with a status= "okay"; the post is detected, but the network doesn't come up
<tuxd3v> post -> port
<tuxd3v> (lan)
<tuxd3v> the usb lan is enabled by 'USB3.0-EN[7]'
<tuxd3v> this signal comes from rk3328
<tuxd3v> its what enable the 'VDD_5V_LAN' to powerup the controller
<tuxd3v> it is not powered up by the usb, at least not interelly

<SolidHal> robmur01 I unplugged the trackpad, keyboard, and touchscreen and still see the cursor jumping with just a usb mouse plugged in.
<SolidHal> anyway, libinput-debugs output is nice and responsive. This is a very noticeable jump right when you start to move the cursor. If I swipe across the touchpad or move the mouse quickly I can easily make the cursor jump over an inch.
<SolidHal> mps do you boot from internal emmc or from sd or usb?

<wens> tuxd3v: as I said, the LAN port is not provided by gmac2phy. Check the schematics
<wens> tuxd3v: just add a regulator for VDD_5V_LAN and set it to always on
<wens> tuxd3v: rockchip USB PHY doesn't handle vbus
<wens> tuxd3v: LAN port is not provided by gmac2phy <= it is a completely different controller, of course it won't work.
<wens> tuxd3v: gmac2phy isn't even connected to anywhere on the board
<wens> if you want to use gmac2phy, get the Rock Pi E.

<mps> SolidHal: I boot mostly from external mmc, but also from sdd disk over usb, and sometimes from emmc
<mps> when I used cromeOS kernel (build them locally) I mostly used emmc only
<mps> and never had cursor issues as you have
<mps> also I tried panfrost but it is practically unusable with xorg
<mps> hmm, interesting, just restarted X with panfrost enabled and it looks better with kernel 5.10-rc1

<SolidHal> mps nope :/ Starting to wonder if its hardware specific? But I have seen it happen two gru-kevins.
<SolidHal> happen on two gru-kevins
<mps> SolidHal: strange
<mps> I'm not sure but maybe someone else here use gru-kevin to check
<mps> iirc eballetbo told me that he have one
<mps> SolidHal: maybe you could try to install alpine linux, I use it
<mps> maybe not kernel but userspace problem
<SolidHal> mps I have tried a debian and archlinux userspace, I would be very surprised if both had the issue
