mripard: the note about u-boot was mainly to increase linking to mainline u-boot page which is hard to find. mainline kernel effort page would be one place where linking makes sense
<mripard>
it is the first link on the page....
<vitorcarvalhoml>
rella, do you already has used some PVR on XBMC with allwineer socs? I'm using your git repository to try but pvr fails on compile despite XBMC is working fine. The error can be seen at https://gist.github.com/vitorcarvalhoml/be5cb66e63a40b436f07

victorcarvalhoml: i haven't worked with this repo for more than a year and iirc the pvr submodules are messed up a bit.
<rellla>
your snippet is too short to be able to help you.
<rellla>
the last time i tried it, it worked basically with vdr as a backend and vnsi addon as the frontend. i never dealt with tvheadend.

rella: I update the snippet to the full output of command "make zip"
<vitorcarvalhoml>
It's possible to run vnsi addon with tvheadend as backend?

vitorcarvalhoml: have you read this? http://linux-sunxi.org/XBMC there is nothing about "make zip" ...
<rellla>
don't know anything about tvheadend. ask google or #xbmc
<rellla>
ah. and don't use the xbmc-pvr-addons repo as a standalone. don't know if this works. build them as a submodule.
<wens>
great, i have 2 conflicting branches again
<vitorcarvalhoml>
yeah! pvr-addons it's a submodule into your repo

<vitorcarvalhoml>
I use the xbmc-pvr-addons as standalone. the error I put in gist.
<vitorcarvalhoml>
it's possible to compile xbmc and include the pvr-addons at "compile time"?

buZz, it can be both managed and unmanaged. No idea how it's wired on the Banana-Pi.
<hno>
There is lots of info about the switch on broadcom community site.
<buZz>
ah cool, ty
<lukas2511>
hno: where is that info about it being managed? i can only find that this chip can do automagic power settings and stuff, but nothing about being managed
<hno>
configured either via an eeprom, or via spi from a cpu.
<hno>
but I don't know how it's wired on the banad-pi board.
<lukas2511>
oh okay, product features just listed awesome powersaving stuff, but nothing about being managed and having vlan capabilities or anything else like they have on at least some other chips
nieuwbie has quit [Quit: ERC Version 5.3 (IRC client for Emacs)]
<lukas2511>
actually it would make sense for that board to have it set up as managed switch, since it has a dedicated WAN port and doesn't seem to have another chip for ethernet stuff
<lukas2511>
i guess you could just download the firmware image and poke around a little bit
<hramrach_>
rellla: sure. I have no idea if it's still needed or the lib was fixed since
<lukas2511>
hno: ok that list looks better, i only found the list where it states that it has magic power detection stuff for short wires and even more voodoo
<hramrach_>
in other words I have no testing. never hit the issue myself

hramrach_: i'll send it. it was fixed, but with return -1 if parameters equal 0. your patch seems to make more sence than the one i sent some time ago.

chkktri: what do you expect of the tablet pc?
<hramrach_>
it's not the cheapest tablet to get and not most hacker friendly but it's also somewhat usable as tablet. you can read books on it or play videos that the VE decodes correctly

if you want good performance you can try one of the A80 tablets but support for those is really bad
