<syntiux> hannes: Valid values for on_crash are described here http://xenbits.xen.org/docs/4.2-testing/man/xl.cfg.5.html .. it looks like on_shutdown=destroy is what I want but that way I don't get output because the unikernel exits before dom0 can attach the console :/

<hannes> syntiux: then you need to insert a sleep of some seconds ;)
<syntiux> hannes: unfortunately, that's not an option as I want to be as fast as possible .. I guess I will have a look at the jitsu project and see how they did stuff :)
<hannes> syntiux: then use some network communication instead of console
<hannes> jitsu spawned sth on demand, but doesn't really care (afaik, haven't tried it) about shutdown
<syntiux> hannes: yeah I guess network would be the way to go from this point
<hannes> syntiux: the simplest I can think of would be to emit a syslog message (requires only udp), ...
<syntiux> hannes: that's what came to my mind as well :).. I think I'll look into that next - thanks!

<danielh1234> Hi. I am having a hard time creating a simple Irmin store, storing and getting some values. mirage configure runs fine but make gives me "... The value `flush' is required but not provided [...]". What does this mean? Are there any simple Mirage+Irmin examples for the current versions?
insitu has quit [Quit: My MacBook has gone to sleep. ZZZzzz…]
<hannes> danielh1234: not sure about simple versions, you might want to ask the mailing list mirageos-devel@lists.xenproject.org ... the one I'm using is https://github.com/Engil/Canopy .. using an in-memory store of strings
<danielh1234> hannes: I will definitely have a look at Canopy, thank you.

<syntiux> hello, I can't seem to find documentation around using js as a backend for mirage - does anyone have a resource for getting started with this?

<Drup> I don't think anyone really tried to compile mirage unikernels to js, I know it was considered though

<syntiux> Drup: Okay, thanks for the reply, I was just curious because the existence of a js backend for mirage is mentioned here: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/projects/ocamllabs/tasks/mirage.html
<hannes> syntiux: (as usual) try asking the mailing list, maybe someone has a clue there... I know thomas leonard did some MirageOS + JS thingies, such as cuekeeper http://roscidus.com/blog/blog/2015/04/28/cuekeeper-gitting-things-done-in-the-browser/
<syntiux> hannes: okay, I guess I'll just open a new thread on https://devel.unikernel.org/ or post on the mailing list for those kind of questions so others are able to find it later as well :)
<hannes> syntiux: I personally don't check devel.unikernel.org, only IRC and the mailing list
mort___ has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
<Drup> cuekeeper is just regular js_of_ocaml
<Drup> not a unikernel
<hannes> oh ic. didn't really know what cuekeeper is using
<Drup> (I meant the client part. The server part is indeed a unikernel)
