<brolin_empey> DocScrutinizer05: On a desktop x86 motherboard, the speaker is usually connected to a header so no desoldering is required to disconnect the speaker. Some motherboards, such as my MSI Socket A motherboard, have a speaker on the motherboard itself, though, so maybe that is what you were referring to?
