<twobitsprite> when I try to "open Unix;;" and then "time;;" I get "Reference to undefined global `Unix'"... I have the unix.* in my install dir...
<Smerdyakov> I would suggest reading the first page of the unix library manual.

<twobitsprite> doh :P

<twobitsprite> Smerdyakov: ohh yeah... sorry I dropped out in the middle of our last convo... what were you saying about interacting with gnugo?
<Smerdyakov> twobitsprite, nothing more that I remember.
<twobitsprite> I still don't understand what you were trying to say... I was saying that I should run gnugo from my program, and read from it's stdout and write to its stdin, and you were saying there was a better way...
<Smerdyakov> If gnugo were implemented in OCaml and designed well, there would be better ways.
<twobitsprite> ohh... well, fortunately we live in a world where programmers have options as to what language they write thier programs...
<Smerdyakov> And, unfortunately, C is one of those options.
<twobitsprite> I agree it's a shame that is seems the worst languages gain precidence in the programming community...
<twobitsprite> I.e. Java *retch*
<Smerdyakov> Java beats C any day.
<twobitsprite> and just about anything else beats Java anyday...
<twobitsprite> actually, I'd rather program in C than Java...
<Smerdyakov> If you're writing anything but an OS, then that is a poor choice.
<twobitsprite> I agree that there are a lot of negative features to C, but I feel a little bit of personal discipline can prevent the majority of problems... Java is just awkward to me, but then again, I've never been a member of the OO cult...
