hi all, i'm new to racket. i'm running debian stable (buster) 10.2. what is the recommended way of installing rash to my local user home directory?
<bremner>
ullbeking: dunno about rash specifically, can't you just run "raco pkg install rash" ?
<ullbeking>
bremner: o/
<Blackbeard[m]>
ullbeking: I would install racket from the website

<bremner>
Blackbeard[m]: the question wasn't about installing racket
<ullbeking>

<ullbeking>
i'll try to raco route

Blackbeard[m]: what is your objection to debian stable?
<Blackbeard[m]>

an example would be emacs, because i understand it sufficiently well
<ullbeking>

the system in its package repositories and where the language also has its own package manager
<ullbeking>
often it's difficult to know, for example with python, whether to use the debian packages or to use pip or setuptools, etc. (not familiar enough yet with racket to give an example)
<ullbeking>
bremner: the rash install worked, thx
<bremner>
welcome.

Does autoffi still work, or is there something comparable that does? I'm needing FFI bindings for a few libs.

would the experimental "dependent racket" sister language to racket be a good foundational language for learning about dependent types from scratch?
