good day! I have some tablet with A10 and resistive touchscreen (GoClever a101 http://goclever.com/nl/nl/goclever_tab_a101#specification ) and have problems to get sun4i-ts.ko working correct. After insmod it works with Yaxis reversed and the touch positions are a bit of scale. Does someone got a a resistive TS with using Allwinners A10 TS GPIO working on Android or Linux?
<rz2k>
try playing with sun4i-ts.c defines, I see some ADC stuff hardcoded there

ok it seems tve Yaxis inversion is easy to fix. I hope i find some DEFINE for the scaling too.
<smokeeeh>
thank you rz2k

<TomNL>
ceo16: for xbmc, do you compile native?
<ceo16>
don't know what it means?
<TomNL>
you compile on mele?
<ceo16>
I have the problem that the cpu remains at 80/90%
<ceo16>
no
<ceo16>
crosscompiling
<TomNL>
cpu is better with other version?
<ceo16>
not always equal
<Kraln->
is there mpeg2 hardware accel for mali-400 yet

rz2k: I managed to reproduce your problem
<techn_>
that GLUT..
<techn_>
You can get rid of that by setting DRI on in mali's xorg.conf
popolon has joined #arm-netbook
<TomNL>
ceo16: i got native compile running now..will let you know if cpu usage is better
plan_b has joined #arm-netbook
<rz2k>
mmm
<rz2k>
techn_: I have DRI 2 enabled, you mean I need add Section "modules Load "dri" EndSection ?
<rz2k>
like we previously disabled dri
<rz2k>
also you can just post working & proven xorg.conf and I will replace it in my repo

damn
<hno>
mnemoc, no idea. Never seen anything like.
<mnemoc>
hno: it happens to me in the cubie and the olinuxino. `reboot` (or reset button) goes straight to android
<hno>
odd
<hno>
if you reset from nand u-boot?
<mnemoc>
`reboot` from linux/mmc

any cpufreq tunings done by kernel?
<mnemoc>
nothing intentional at least
<hno>
is cpufreq enabled?
<mnemoc>
uhm.... I have it enabled in sun4i but not in a13
<hno>
is power management enabled?
<mnemoc>
meh, reboot now send me (correctly) back to mmc :<

Did anyone have a problem with getting goodix_touch.ko on linux working?
<mnemoc>
jquip: there are several differe goodix ts drivers, we only have sources for 2
<mnemoc>
hno: yes, enabled on both. ... but now it doesn't want to get reproducted :<

<jquip>
mnemoc: one is already part of amery's git repo
<jquip>
or are both of em there?
<mnemoc>
the 818 is in the sun5i branch
<mnemoc>
there are a couple of related tickets open on github
<jquip>
mnemoc: okays..will check those out..
<mnemoc>
the branch as a whole won't work on A10 devices
rz2k has joined #arm-netbook
<mnemoc>
just pick the driver
<mnemoc>
and hook it into the default branch
<jquip>
yes :) of course.. so, the ts code is roughly a 1250 sloc...

Thanks mnemoc :) lemme dig into the code a bit... I hope it works straight out of the box :) .. what do I do if that doesnt work either ??
<mnemoc>
jquip: contact the vendor of your device asking for the code
<jquip>
hahaha .. hmm. yeah.. ... closed up businessman+ chinese person..
<RaYmAn>
mnemoc: I'd be surprised if they even have it :P
<jquip>
I dont know if they would oblige..
<mnemoc>
the person who sold it to you is. but that person doesn't have it
<mnemoc>
and the chain is long...
<mnemoc>
yes, life sucks
<jquip>
:'(
<jquip>
excuse me while I go outside and yell at the trees out of frustration..
<mnemoc>
some people has managed to inject the gpl-violating .ko
<mnemoc>
you can also try contacting goodix itself
<jquip>
oh really?
<jquip>
you mean they've done this thing before.. giving source code ?
<jquip>
so then why do have only 2 drivers in our kernel?. any links on the non-gpl-driver injecting guys? just as a backup..
<mnemoc>
they haven't replied any request yet
<mnemoc>
but you can try
<jquip>
i have a client who will breathe fire down my neck, if the touchscreen isnt gonna come through soon..
<jquip>
lemme try.. who knows..
<techn_>
jquip: sun5i branch has one new ts driver
<techn_>
ah.. mnemoc mentioned that already
<jquip>
techn_: :) np buddy ; mnemoc: im gonna go see that ts driver for now.. any idea on what it would involve to probe that driver and get the guts out?
<mnemoc>
no idea at all... i've never messed with that stuff
