slapin_np: if make the board, then slice along top row of holes to get two boards - one slapin original and other the patch panel
<slapin_nb>
focus: ehmmm.... I have no words... thanks! Can you make github pull request so to auto-credit you with changes?
<focus>
slapin_nb: 'yes and no' I have to 'learn' github + tied in knots in $ work to spend time properly on it. I release that + several other boards soon. Just waiting for a time slot.
<focus>
I make the board for you if you haven't make it yet
<buZz>
or is this ment to be used in something that was already using SO-DIMM
<focus>
PCMCIA box is a coffin for projects that need more space. SODIMM has 200 pins. Meant for IoT related projects. I got boards for lesser ARMs http://www.gplsquared.com/SoM1/SoM1.html
<focus>
Another board for quad pic finished and will be released soon.
<focus>
The double SODIMM mboard is already released. So you plug in your SODIMM ARM for the main computer, and link it to SODIMM with lesser chips for the embedded control and you should then be able to make IoT just by clipping things together.
<buZz>
coool nice
<focus>
I plan for SODIMM socket + PCMCIA socket mboart soon - so it will be possible to use lukes EOMA68 with quad PICs and dual ARM sodimms
<buZz>
i'd rather use AVR btw :)
<buZz>
for IoT stuff

expeyes took a different approach - 30 way fpc. So another expeyes A10 board with couple of 30 way fpc ready but not lauched yet. A relay board also ready for 30 pin fpc. Need to get a keyboard for 30 pin fpc finished.
<focus>
I got to get into AVR. I wanted to put in the arduino + SODIMM + EOMA on one mboard
<focus>
That would be nice :)

any projects out there with arduino in kicad? May be arduino gerbers even - gerbers can be pulled back into kicad and turned into PCB files.
<slapin_nb>
focus: how? how can I put gerbers into Kicad?

<focus>
slapin_nb: go into gerbview, import the gerber layers of interest, from menu FIle > Export to PCBnew, and then map the gerber layers to kicad PCB layers and voila done! Be careful - the current PCB file is affected in ways that may not be undoable.
<focus>
lastest kicad from ppa needed for this to work properly - the old .brd extensions and the new .kicad_pcb extensions data files differently
<focus>
not sure if its the old you need or new you need - but beware - keep backups.
