<siraben> the bootstrappable project https://lwn.net/SubscriberLink/841797/094f0a223ce7e530/ is still alive! they have a Forth implementation but it was a dead end in terms of being of use for bootstrapping, so it would be interesting to see if anyone could improve on that

<siraben> I've also been working with the bootstrappable devs to bootstrap a Haskell dialect from that seed; https://github.com/OriansJ/blynn-compiler , another promising path if one writes a Scheme interpreter in Haskell
