<john_cephalopoda> azonenberg_work: I can give you access to the opencmos github organisation.
<azonenberg_work> john_cephalopoda: sure, i'm azonenberg on github too
<john_cephalopoda> azonenberg_work: Done.

<Noxz> azonenberg_work, nice to see you around again
<pie__> oh you also missed that
<pie__> he's still building his house :P
<pie__> so it doesnt count :P
<pie__> $insfrastructure_work_busy
<Noxz> I'm doing house reno, too
<Noxz> in the same city :P
<pie__> oh heh
<pie__> figures...
<pie__> :p
<azonenberg_work> Noxz: wait what?
<azonenberg_work> where are you
<Noxz> seattlwe
<Noxz> Seattle
<azonenberg_work> oh cool
<Noxz> near Carkeek Park, nw of green lake by like 3mi?
<azonenberg_work> I'm not in seattle proper myself
<azonenberg_work> I live in poulsbo (north kitsap)
<Noxz> I find most of these city names.. not f unny, but yeah
<Noxz> native american, I know
<azonenberg_work> but i work in queen anne / interbay
<azonenberg_work> take the bainbridge ferry in then bike along the coast
<Noxz> yeah, I was chattin with a coworker of yours at the lockpicking meetup last night
<Noxz> Zack, in HR, does interviews
<azonenberg_work> Poulsbo is not native american, it's Norwegian
<azonenberg_work> oh cool
<azonenberg_work> Yeah he's like two offices down from me
<azonenberg_work> Used to be in SAR too
<Noxz> oh, wow, you're west
<john_cephalopoda> Cats grow on trees. In autumn, locals harvest the kit-sap.
<azonenberg_work> (a different unit than me but still)
<Noxz> how did getting rid of that cig smoke go?
<azonenberg_work> Noxz: yes, way west :p
<Noxz> I still have my old carpets, one landing smells like kitty litter
<azonenberg_work> Pretty thoroughly deconned by this point
<Noxz> do you take a ferry to work?
<azonenberg_work> The area around the fireplace didn't get done yet so it still smells a little
<azonenberg_work> And there is one area in the corner of the 1st floor that needs a bit more aggressive cleaning before we sheetrock as i get a whiff here and there
<azonenberg_work> but by and large it's gone, i had a neighbor who was very sensitive to smoke and couldn't even set foot in the house before give it the sniff test
<pie__> <Noxz> yeah, I was chattin with a coworker of yours at the lockpicking meetup last night
<azonenberg_work> she didnt notice a thing
<pie__> <Noxz> Zack, in HR, does interviews
<pie__> lmao
<Noxz> I replaced my Oriel windows (and shetahing, with some rigid insullation) over labor day weekend
<pie__> john_cephalopoda, :P
<Noxz> those are sound dampening windows.. 45 STC
<Noxz> that upper entrance is going away soon
<Noxz> also, about to take my dog for a walk
<azonenberg_work> Nice, and have fun
* azonenberg_work has no cute fuzzballs at the moment :(
<azonenberg_work> $wife is counting down the days nutil the house is finished enough for us to get one
<azonenberg_work> Right now we are finished with demo, electrical rough-in, and insulation
<Noxz> yeah, he's scared of the pneumaticv nailer
<pie__> pew pew
<Noxz> had to basically lock him in the bedroom while i did this work
<azonenberg_work> we have 3-4 rooms sheetrocked depending on your definition of "room"
<Noxz> i still need building permits for some of the alterations
<azonenberg_work> (stairwell, a bedroom, half of the large lab space, one end of a hallway, and the ceiling of another room)
<azonenberg_work> Of those, the bedroom is fully painted and the lab is in the process of being painted right now
<azonenberg_work> waiting for this coat to dry before we go back later tonight and do more
<Noxz> nice!
<Noxz> getting shit done
<Noxz> the weather has been nice for that
<azonenberg_work> well we've been at this since january :p
<Noxz> 19 days till watchmaking school starts, so I am trying to power through things
<Noxz> and yesterday was my last day of work
<azonenberg_work> We're hoping to get the place actually liveable by some time nov-dec at the rate things are going, it will still need floors and trim but will be legally habitable and safe to live in as long as we keep shoes on (plywood subfloors = splinters)
<azonenberg_work> We had been renting a house until july but the lease ended, last month we lived in a hotel
<Noxz> ohh
<azonenberg_work> which we're stuck in for another month since we Just got approved for a month to month apartment lease
<azonenberg_work> we'll be in that oct-nov and maybe dec
<azonenberg_work> Then hopefully move in before january when our building permit expires:D
<Noxz> anywho, I'm prepped for the walk now, bbiab
<azonenberg_work> I'm sure there is a process to renew it, the inspector was just here a couple weeks ago doing the insulation inspection so he knows we're making progress and he likes what he sees so far
<azonenberg_work> But yeah i hope to avoid that
<azonenberg_work> Once we're moved in we'll do flooring, trim, and other cosmetic work
<azonenberg_work> Then start actually unpacking and furnishing the lab :D
<pie__> I can imagine the manly squealing :p
<azonenberg_work> pie__: lol
<azonenberg_work> Well i have to render the place habitable still, plus i need to replace the roof
<pie__> i probably would be haha
<azonenberg_work> So still a fair amount of work
<pie__> at some point at least
<Noxz> nice walk

<john_cephalopoda> azonenberg_work: Have you created a working CMOS yet or have you been doing experiments with lithography size for CMOS/MEMS only?
<john_cephalopoda> azonenberg_work: Also, the old wiki was licensed as 3-clause BSD, newer wiki is CC-BY. I set 3-clause BSD for the new one since I only looked at the very old google code one, but CC-BY might be better. What's your opinion?

<azonenberg_work> john_cephalopoda: No preference re licensing other than "permissive"
<azonenberg_work> i.e. not copyleft
<azonenberg_work> I have not attempted to create any transistors
<azonenberg_work> From my perspective, jeri ellsworth has already demonstrated DIY transistors are possible, the fun part is shrinking them and doing lithography rather than making masks with tape
<azonenberg_work> So actually making a fet is going to be the very last step once all of the other process components have been validated
<john_cephalopoda> azonenberg_work: CC-BY might be a little easier to understand than BSD-3.

<john_cephalopoda> jn__: I'd like to change the license of the repo to cc-by 4.0 and since you have contributed, I have to ask you if it's ok with you.
<jn__> it's okay with me.
<john_cephalopoda> jn__: Ok, I'll change it then.

<john_cephalopoda> Hmm, part of the mechanics required for the direct-write laser exposure system could be 3d printed.
