Hey folks
<wings[m]>
Is there some form of ipfs "testnet" where I can publish a lot of files without it making the DHT bigger?

Or does it not really matter if millions of junk files end up on ipfs
<wings[m]>
I'm not deliberately doing anything evil but I'm doing some scale testing of ipfs with mock data and I would rather not pollute
<wings[m]>
Oh neat, I could create a private ipfs network and do it there

Didn't quite got how filecoin works. If I set up a storage node, I just act as storage, right? Let's say network is missing for 2 hours (unstable ISP line) and network checks if the file is present in this exact interval, will I lose filecoins?
