<GitHub29> jruby/master 7ec8091 Christian Bruckmayer: Fix small hash allocation
<GitHub29> jruby/master 69d19c4 Christian Bruckmayer: Implement open addressing algorithm for RubyHash...
<headius> BAM
<headius> OSS works
<lopex> headius: not yet
<headius> hah
<headius> too late!
<headius> oh
<headius> the fix
<headius> yeah ok :-)
<lopex> headius: tomorrow will be ok ?
<headius> yeah that's ok...not too many people clamoring for a release and we'll want the new hash to bake a little
<headius> I also want to revisit kwargs and see if I can better utilize the new hash (or just get optimized kwargs in)
<headius> probably looking at doing a bigger 9.2.1 in September that fixes regressions from 9.2 and gets some opto in we didn't finish in time
<headius> ideally that will have kwargs opto
<headius> it already will have object ivar shaping
<ChrisBr> headius: let me squash the commits first please
<ChrisBr> argh already merged :/
<ChrisBr> hm ok
<ChrisBr> and thanks for merging :)
<ChrisBr> headius: I will probably make some PRs for some refactorings / code improvements
<ChrisBr> and thanks for your help with the whole hash thing headius enebo lopex & kares
<headius> squash is no big deal...and usually I prefer not to for annotation purposes
<enebo> ChrisBr: thanks for working on it and spending so much time on it
<headius> thank you so much for this work...I wasn't sure when we'd ever get time to do it

<headius> chrisarcand: question for ya
<headius> oops
<headius> sorry, meant ChrisBr
<headius> question: so with the new layout is there any equivalent to the small/fast/non-rehashing stuff we did before for keyword args?
<headius> I'm thinking it probably doesn't mean anything now since the new hash impl packs things pretty tightly either way
<headius> there may be something we can do with literal hashes/kwargs with the same set of symbol keys but that's above and beyond

<ben_zen6> Christel just posted this "denial" on the freenode blog https://freenode.net/news/spam-shake
<ben_zen6> Consider Andrew Lee's involvement, Andrew Lee is Christel's boss at London Trust Media and he also controls the majority of freenode voting rights. Andrew Lee also heads the handshake ICO scam. Coincidence?
<ben_zen6> This blog is essentially an ad for the Handshake ICO scam with a one-line "denial" of involvement mixed in there. It's obviously very unethical of Christel to not mention her own involvement in the scam which the blog post promotes.
