wens: I think I can overcome the board design for UHS-I on the sdio as I have direct access to the GPIO pins. I also have access to the VDDIO_AO1V8 reference from S905 for a level shifter and then I can maybe switch it via GPIO.
<brads>
The sd adaptor connected to the sdio pins im using at the moment has long wires (and some resisters inline with them) but it works well with the expection that I cannot directly boot the device (ie no BL1 can be found on this port)
<brads>
jbrunet: I plan to shorten the wires for some testing, do you think I would find a limitation in the hardware? Maybe I can play with the driver to try to add UHS-I modes

jbrunet: In regards to audio I would like to see some i2s input. I have trouble with USB soundcards on odroid c2 (duplex mode) in a realtime environment or usb in general with -rt
<brads>
The C2 or s905 itself works well with -rt (with USB disabled) so I figure I use gpio keyboard/ mouse & sdio wifi for communications if I need wifi and leave USB hub powered off.
<brads>
Also interested in running machinekit with USB turned off and running stepper motor controller communications over GPIO or emulating a realtime parellel port over GPIO
<brads>
jbrunet: do you think I am wasting my time?
