adema_: you should report this to the ML, especially to khilman !
ldevulder is now known as ldevulder_
ldevulder_ is now known as ldevulder
<narmstrong>
adema_: instead of that, you should remove the "non-removable" property of the MMC node in the DT, then it will be detected without any need to unbind the driver
<narmstrong>
jbrunet sent this upstream as "arm64: dts: meson: libretech-cc: set eMMC as removable"
<adema_>
Thank you! Has it been merged in 4.20 already ?
<narmstrong>
adema_: nop, it's still under review, it should be for 4.22 !
<adema_>

<adema_>
i ll try it then :)
<adema_>

narmstrong, i just built a kernel 4.20 with the patch of jbrunet for the eMMC. I booted with it on my sd card, then plugged the eMMC but nothing happened
<adema_>
no new device in /dev/mmcblkX
<adema_>
nothing in dmesg
<adema_>
and when i try to unbind it, i also get the same segfault from the kernel
