narmstrong, chewitt I was able to add bluetooth support to my device and i want to send it upstream, i want to send it as a series where the first patch adds the compatibles and subversion to drivers/bluetooth/{hci_bcm.c,btbcm.c} and the second patch adds a new dts for my device with the required compatibles
<Darkmatter66_>
is there a rule that require the driver changes to be sent separtly from the dts changes ?
<narmstrong>
Darkmatter66_: for a RFC, no, for a final patchset yes and you should precise dependency on the driver changes in the cover-letter

narmstrong, ok understood
<Darkmatter66_>
narmstrong, one more thing, for the shutdown-gpios node I've just copied it from a similar device dts, how can I test that it's the right gpio ? the bluetooth device works and can scan for devices,does this mean that it's the right gpio or is it not used at initialization ?
<narmstrong>
Darkmatter66_: it's hard to test, if you are not sure about the gpio, don't specify it at all
