<warpme_> guys: FYI: finally we (mythtv team) got nicely working s905 video hw decode via v4l2 m2m with EGL_LINUX_DMA_BUF_EXT rendering on current panforst. 1080i playback CPU load is approx 5% so this is fantastic result. All team (especially Maxime, Neil, at all) - You done miracles here. (FYI: my s912 beelink box is practically fully usable mythtv appliance. All works: audio, USB, IR remote). As minimyth2 is zero-touch
<warpme_> provisioning appliance - i'm almost with target where: user can just get tvbox, plug SD card, power and enjoy mythtv world). Guys: minion thx for Yours work!
<narmstrong> great to read !
<warpme_> narmstrong: just quick Q: I saw some patches flying on ml related to suspend-resume. On what extent suspend-resume works on s905/s912? Is it worth to apply those patches on mainline 5.4 and test or rather now we are in w-i-p?
<narmstrong> warpme_: suspend resume before s905x2 is a no go upstream except if the upstream atf implements the psci 1.0 calls correctly unlike the default firmwares
<warpme_> narmstrong: thx for explanation. Assuming i'm ready to go with patched mainline for gxl/gxm - is it worth to play with suspend-resume patches on gxl/gxm?
<narmstrong> warpme_: you can but you may find loads of bugs !
