20:50 <hexdump0815> damex: as far as i understand there is no way around bl2 (low level ram initialization) and bl30 (scp = system control processor firmware) ... bl31 can be replaced by a self compiled atf for gxl and you can use gxlimg to build the boot image out of all this

20:52 <hexdump0815> damex: i think rockchip socs can be made blob free (i.e. all initialization is done by a self compiled u-boot) ... allwinner can initialize memory often from u-boot too, but i think also has something like scp with an own firmware - not sure if that can be dropped somehow
