<naobsd> my last message was not logged...
<naobsd> karlp: which is your opinion, px2 must be different unless RK confirms both are same, or px2/rk3066 will be same unless someone find difference
<naobsd> I'll put rayeager kernel/u-boot to somewhere, but anyone can refer marsboard rk3066/px2 image/sdk
<naobsd> but you cannot find difference between marsboard rk3066/px2 image/sdk, there is only 1 image/sdk.

<naobsd> mmind00_: one question, about root nodes which starts with '&' in leaf dts such as rk3288-firefly.dts,
<naobsd> mmind00_: they should be ordered alphabetically, not address of original described in rk3288.dtsi, right?
levd has joined #linux-rockchip
<naobsd> mmind00_: "root nodes which starts with '&'" will not be correct expression, &cpu, &ir, &pwm, etc...

<naobsd> original ordering of node with address in source file (.dtsi) and ordering of node with '&' in leaf file (.dts) will be different, right?
<naobsd> same for between i2c devices and pinctrl, i2cX { B@01 { pin-for-B }; A@02 { pin-for-A}; }; pinctrl { A { pin-for-A }; B { pin-for-B }; };

<mmind00_> naobsd: correct ... simply order by node name when they don't have an address and yes the ordering will be different ...
<mmind00_> naobsd: this is a matter of readability, when I have no address I would expect to find a node reference by the alphabet and not having to remember where it might've been in the original file in relation to other nodes :-)

<rperier> mmind00_: about phy-supply in dwmac-rk.c , do I need to care about dts backward compatibility in your opinion ? I mean does it make sense to care about a compatibility issue in the devicetree when it is for a non standard property added recently ?
<rperier> hi all btw
<mmind00_> rperier: the gmac driver is not yet part of an official kernel release (scheduled for 3.20), so in this case no
<rperier> ah ok cool, so it's not a problem in this case

<naobsd> and dwc2 for HOST ports
<naobsd> sata access doesn't fill dwc2 ports, good :)

<naobsd> v2 is almost ready...
<dmarkey> are there only images available for this "rock" device?
<dmarkey> im looking for a RK3188T build and cant seem to find one :(
<naobsd> what's "this rock device"?
<naobsd> mmind00_: is usb_5v naming ok?
<naobsd> I prepared v2 without change for usb_5v
markm__ has quit [Ping timeout: 264 seconds]
<mmind00_> naobsd: I've found the usb_5v in the schematics, so I guess it is ok (but still slightly misleading as it supplies the sata)
<naobsd> I agree about "misleading" ;)
<mmind00_> but you're right, the name should stay ... this way people can at least search for it in the schematics :-)
<naobsd> if someone reads .dts, he will know what's for...
<naobsd> mmind00_: I sent v2
<naobsd> rayeager has a jumper which select power source for usb otg/host and sata
<naobsd> it cannot be expressed in dts...
