<topi`> what's the correct way of changing the RK3288/3368 kernel arguments?
<topi`> on the 3288, I've manually edited the correct sector on mmcblk0 (4096 sectors was the offset I think) and then rebooted, but there was some problem if I remember correctly
<topi`> I wonder if there's some kind of a checksum for that sector...
<topi`> I'm trying to change the kernel params on my Geekbox, so it's a RK3368 though I don't think it matters
<topi`> is the parameter file used, if U-BOOT is responsible for loading the linux kernel?
<naobsd> topi`: to update parameter, use rkcrc -p before writing mmcblk, or use AndroidTool.exe or upgrade_tool di -p or rkflashtool P via OTG

<topi`> I've used upgrade_tool to flash the image
<topi`> so it can be used to download a kernel image as well?
<topi`> does rockchip follow the android convention of packaging the kernel+ramdisk into a partition? (that starts with magic word ANDROID!)
<topi`> on Snapdragon, that is usually written to mmcblk0p7

<topi`> it seems #radxa channel is completely dead. It's a shame, they have good products
<topi`> most of the action seems to happen on #linux-sunxi, and lately #odroid
<naobsd> topi`: upgrade_tool is the tool to write images on the board
<naobsd> topi`: there is mkbootimg for Rockchip for ANDROID! image
